The Team Teen Approach
Peer-to-peer support group for teens faced with mental health challenges and/or difficult family dynamics.
During the teenage years striking changes take place in the body as well as the brain. Youth are particularly vulnerable to stress & mental health challenges including - anger, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-harm, eating disorders and more.
You are not alone. TEEN TEAM offers a convenient and safe place for teens to connect, share stories and encouragement.
Positive social engagement, peer support and activities are Teen Teams strategies for developing into a healthy adult.
Teen Team's reach in the future has plans to expand to more states outside of Wisconsin but the intent will always be the same where teens help other teens cope better.
In this effort mental health experts will provide teens with the essential training, knowledge and rapport skills to empower themselves and their peers that will affect change in their community. To do this we are initiating our first community based research "Teen Team" locally to examine possibilities.
Once a "team member" volunteer completes the initial 72+ hours of training, they meet with our Clinical Consultants to discuss their individual strengths and weaknesses. Training at that point is tailored to the individual need while it also co-creates the teen team (family) synergy that empowers efforts.
Personal Growth
TEEN TEAM plans on becoming the headquarters of the newest evidence-based resources, tools and support for organizations working to integrate primary and behavioral health care for youth.
At the center of TEEN TEAM are advisor experts in organizational readiness, integrated care models, peer support & clinical practice, health & wellness, and future financing & sustainability will be soon ready to partner with providers to create customized approaches to advance integrated care and health outcomes for all adolescents.

Elsa & Elyn’s Journey:
By discussing the warning signs and symptoms of mental health issues, Teen Teams and their schools can reduce stigmas associated with getting help and allow teens, families, peers, and professionals to identify high-risk behavior before it is too late.
Teen Teams intends on becoming a national leader in adolescent outreach providing resources to get help with coping, decision-making, & communication skills that overcome life's stressors. With a robust set of virtual and eLearning trainings, we plan to reach thousands of people per year across platforms, in-person, remote, and in various hybrid environments.
Kids are growing up in a world where social media has always been a part of connecting with others, especially friends and classmates. Teen Teams can make it possible to stay positively connected to other caring kids as needed anywhere & at any time. We also understand that digital platforms can also make things more difficult for us emotionally. Teen Teams will look to recognize when patterns of social media use are unhelpful and when risky behavior or signs point to intervening to avoid potential consequences.

My son was dealing with a difficult situation and one of his friends who belonged to the Teen Team program talked to him and quickly regained his composure again. Thank you!

We are really proud of our kids trying to help their friends better cope with the stressors of being a teenager in today's world and with their friends they are making a real difference.

As part of Teen Team's training effort we can see the sound approaches they are taking to improve mental health considerations and enhance resilience. These kids are trained to listen without judgement and offer supportive appropriate guidance as it is requested by their fellow peers.
